Outdoor & Landscape Lighting in Atlanta, GA

Path, accent, and security lighting installed on dedicated exterior GFCI circuits with low-voltage transformers and weatherproof fittings.

Outdoor & Landscape Lighting performed by Apex Power Solutions LLC in Atlanta, GA.

Outdoor lighting changes how a home is used after dark — walkways become safe, plantings get depth, and entries feel welcoming instead of dark. The electrical side has to handle weather, water, and ground burial, which is why outdoor work follows a different set of code rules than interior wiring.

Apex Power Solutions installs low-voltage landscape systems on weather-rated 12V transformers and line-voltage exterior circuits on WR/TR receptacles with in-use covers. Every exterior receptacle is GFCI-protected per NEC 210.8(A)(3), and every direct-burial run is in the right cable type and at the right depth for the AHJ.

Questions about Outdoor Lighting

Q: Low voltage or line voltage — which is right for landscape lighting?

A: Most residential landscape systems are low voltage. The fixtures are safer near children and pets, the wiring is easier to extend or move, and the lower output suits planting accents and pathways. Line-voltage fixtures are used for security flood lights, sconces near doors, and any application that needs higher output.

Q: Can the system come on automatically at sunset?

A: Yes. Every system we install includes a photocell, an astronomic timer, or both, so the lights come on at dusk and turn off at a time you choose. Smart-controlled systems are also available with phone control and scene presets.

Q: Will the cable run be visible across the yard?

A: No. We trench or fish low-voltage cable to a depth that keeps it well below mower blades and aerator tines. Beds and turf are restored after burial so the only visible part of the system is the fixture itself.
