Interior lighting is the single change that most often transforms how a room actually feels. The fixture is only half the project — the other half is layout, beam spread, color temperature, dimming compatibility, and switch placement. Apex Power Solutions plans every lighting job on site with the homeowner before we cut a single hole.
Our installs include new-construction and remodel-rated recessed cans, under-cabinet LED strips on dedicated drivers, pendants on rated boxes, and smart switches with neutral conductors where required. Every fixture is matched to a compatible dimmer so it actually dims smoothly to 10% or lower without flicker or buzz.

Questions about Lighting Installation
Q: Can recessed lighting be added without tearing up the ceiling?
A: Yes. Canless LED downlights install through a hole-saw cut and a single hand-fish to the nearest accessible cavity. Most six- to eight-can installs in a single ceiling are completed in one day with cosmetic damage limited to the can holes themselves.
Q: Will my new LED dimmers work without flicker?
A: Only if the dimmer is on the fixture manufacturer's compatibility list. We pick the dimmer to match the LED driver — usually a Lutron CL or Leviton SureSlide — so you get smooth dimming to a low end without the strobe or pop that mismatched dimmers cause.
Q: Do smart switches need a neutral wire?
A: Most do. We confirm whether your switch boxes have neutrals before quoting. If a box doesn't have a neutral, we either pull one as part of the install or recommend a no-neutral switch (Lutron Caseta) that is designed for that condition.
